It's a beautiful Sunday afternoon and I think that the sheep are getting anxious to be back out in the pasture. We have to keep tabs on them more than ever right now as the warm weather and abundance of rain has made the grass start to grow in the fields. For the ewes and lambs right now the grass truly is 'greener on the other side' and they know it. The fences have to be sound because sheep are notorious for finding the only weak spot or hole and escaping from their pen. Sometimes I think they do this because they enjoy watching people scramble to try and get them back in. They must get some sort of addictive adrenaline rush from it because if they manage to escape once, it won't be long before they are out again if you have not properly mended the fence.
